Caring Roots Family Childcare Center is a mother-daughter collaboration rooted in love, legacy, and a shared passion for early childhood education. Our co-owner, Latonyal Godfrey, brings over 20 years of experience in the field, offering deep knowledge, nurturing wisdom, and strong community ties that shape the heart of our program.

Her daughter, and co-owner, Lakerea Godfrey, who grew up as a product of early childhood education and is now an educator herself with 3 to 5 years of experience, continues that legacy with fresh energy, creativity, and a strong commitment to children’s development. Together, we unite generations of care to create a warm, home-like environment where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to thrive.

Our play-based, developmentally rich approach supports the whole child socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively, while honoring every family’s unique journey.
